Covered and screened porch addition with a natural tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, Trex Enhance Naturals decking, and black Fortress railing — opening onto an adjoining open deck with steps down to the backyard.

Ashgrove turns the back of a brick two-story into a screened room the family actually lives in. The new roof ties straight into the home's existing shingle line, and the ceiling underneath is left as natural tongue-and-groove wood — no stain, just warm pine against black ceiling fans and recessed lights. The floor is Trex Enhance Naturals, a wood-grain composite that shrugs off East Tennessee humidity, and black Fortress railing frames both the screened section and the open deck beside it. Full-height screen panels close the porch in for bug-free evenings, a TV mounts on the brick for game days, and a screen door opens onto the uncovered deck where composite steps drop to the yard — close enough to keep an eye on the playset. Two connected spaces: one shaded and screened, one open to the sun.
